The growth of not only our business but the reputation of our brand is extremely important. The Business Development / Sales role is absolutely pivotal to this, as you will be the face of our agency and will need to use a highly consultative approach.

You will be required to use tactics including face-to-face prospecting, phone calls, email, social media, networking and referrals to set up introductory meetings, conduct discovery sessions to uncover client marketing needs and close sales.

The job:

You will be responsible for developing, managing and executing a business development strategy for TMD Winnipeg.

  • Acquire new accounts, which are both profitable and sustainable.
  • Ensure monthly revenue targets are met – which is subject to bonus.
  • Ensure penetration and increased awareness of TMD Winnipeg in the market place.
  • Ensure sales and marketing productivity targets are met.
  • Set up attend and lead new business meetings.
  • Manage the ongoing pipeline of opportunities.
  • Take responsibility for managing each of your prospects through to conversion.
  • Write excellent proposals, succinct and impactful with 100% attention to detail.
  • First rate grammar and spelling is essential.
  • Develop and manage an agency marketing strategy targeting prospective clients.

Internal reporting:

Initially daily and then weekly meetings with the Managing Partner moving to monthly meetings once up to speed.

The Person:

This could be perfect for you if you have worked on the agency services side but are interested in sales and business development. You’ll have demonstrable experience in a consultative sales role, preferably within marketing services, perhaps for an agency, newspaper, radio, tv, direct mail or similar solutions led business.

You’ll be outgoing & bright and be a relationship builder that enjoys face to face contact and identifying and developing opportunities. Management experience is not essential however the growth and development of the business development team may be a key component to the role in the future.
