The Tim
Horton Children’s Foundation (THCF) is committed to serving youth from
low-income families living in Tim Hortons’ communities across Canada and the
United States. Through repeated camp visits and at-home application of newfound
skills, our program builds strengths that help youth thrive at school, succeed
in their future workplaces and become positive, contributing members of their
communities.

We’re looking for a full-time, contract outdoor and experiential education professional, known internally as our Senior Manager, Community Leaders
Program (CLP).

January 2018 – February 2019

Location
This role is based out of the
Foundation’s Home Office in St. George, Ontario, also home to one of our seven
camps – Tim Horton Onondaga Farms (THOF). The site contains over 400 acres of
picturesque farmland, surrounded by rolling hills and protected wetlands.

What would you be doing?

• Providing Foundation-wide

leadership and oversight to the Community Leaders Program (CLP), including
reviewing and updating program curriculum based on continuous improvement methods
that achieve THCF and educational objectives

• Providing

oversight to ensure Regional Representation of Participants from Tim Horton
Communities.

• Developing and

implementing tools to measure the effectiveness of the CLP, and providing
support and direction for continuous improvement
including training front-line staff, analyzing evaluations, and
facilitating program improvements at all camps to better achieve intended
outcomes

• Developing program packages, lesson plans

and supplementary materials for multiple stakeholders including camp
staff, teachers and students

• Creating and

adhering to Foundation-wide cross program delivery and support guidelines
as per Foundation standards

• Setting and

modelling the Foundation’s approach to program delivery and facilitation

• Performing

regular quality control evaluations for Program Managers, and evaluating
overall execution of the CLP framework at each Camp location

• Creating and

updating program support packages and materials used at camp and in home
communities in support of outcome achievement

• Liaising with

the Sr. Manager, Youth Leadership Program (CLP) to ensure a consistent
Foundation-wide approach to program delivery

• Building and

maintaining relationships with industry partners and peers to support
program development

• Contributing

to the performance management, training and development, and continuous
learning systems for CLP program teams

• Measuring and

communicating impact of the CLP program through:

• Overseeing

and monitoring the implementation of outcome measurement tools

• Analyzing,

summarizing and communicating results of outcome measurement through
impact reports

• Utilizing

data to inform programmatic changes as part of the continuous improvement
cycle

• Working with

Marketing and Communication team on communication materials and funding
proposals

Does this sound like you?

• Certified Intermediate Teacher or

experience working within the school system in experiential education

• Significant experience with developing

curriculum and educational objectives, lesson plans and training materials

• Previous camp management or experiential

education experience

• Excellent organizational and time

management skills with project management and data analysis experience

• Knowledge of various Positive Youth

Development models and experience in translating the research to a
curriculum based program that meets educational and organizational
objectives

• Strong adult education, presentation and

training skills

• Excellent communication skills, both

written and oral

• Bilingual in French and English

considered an asset

• Ability to travel throughout Canada and

the United States required
