The Tim Horton Children’s Foundation is committed to serving

We’re looking for a… Maintenance Assistant

Camp Location

Tim Horton Children’s Ranch
(THCR) is spread out over 150 acres in beautiful Kananaskis Country. Located a
1 hour drive west of Calgary, Kananaskis is surrounded by popular tourist
communities including Banff and Lake Louise. THCR offers a panoramic view of
the Canadian Rockies and glacier-fed waters. Program highlights at THCR
include: overnight camping and backpacking, whitewater rafting, organic
gardening, horseback riding and rock climbing on a real rock face.

Estimated Contract Length
Immediate – October 2018

What would you be doing?

  • Participate in the property maintenance duties

as directed by the Property Manager or their designate

  • Complete building or landscaping preventative

maintenance, repairs, changes or new projects as needed

  • Perform routine maintenance on camp machinery

and equipment

  • Operate power mowers, tractors, snow-blowers,

chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws and other landscape
maintenance equipment

  • Perform other manual duties to clean and

maintain landscaped environments and equipment

  • Ensure health and safety standards are being

followed when operating machinery or handling chemicals

Does this sound like you?

  • Experience in property, facility maintenance

and/or landscaping is an asset

  • WHMIS training is considered an asset
  • Self-motivated, flexible and willing to work

within a team environment

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to be

insured on Foundation insurance policy (minimum 21 years of age)

  • Acceptable Criminal Record Check (CRC) and

Vulnerable Sector Search (VSS), as applicable

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as

scheduled
