Job Overview
The Sales Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service as per company standards, working with a Point of Sale (POS) system, generating sales, merchandising and general upkeep of the store’s cleanliness and appearance.
Duties also include assisting customers with donations of clothing, accessories and household goods by providing prompt, courteous service in the donation area.
Accountabilities:
Understand and support store operations, policies and procedures
Accepts payment and makes change.
Wraps or bags merchandise for customers.
Cleans shelves, counters, or tables.
Removes and records amount of cash in register at end of shift.
May calculate sales discount to determine price.
Sets up advertising displays or arranges merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales
Stocks shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise
Responsible to maintain a clean and organized store
Able to direct customers to the appropriate department for shopping
Collecting and stacking incoming product on carts
Weighing and recording incoming merchandise accurately
Able to explain and represent the company’s relationship with our non-profit partners

Physical Functions:
Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift.
Ability to work retail shifts, including weekends, opening and closing shifts.
Ability to lift and carry heavy products, when necessary.
Ability to go up and down ladders.
