This position requires skills to assist with deployment of architect supply chain solutions. It supports supply chain management across the extended enterprise and collaborative network from market opportunity for new solutions through management of cash flow. Supports implementation of business decisions that balance supply chain effectiveness in terms of customer service and total supply chain cost optimization. Supports supply chain planning, management and measurement of activities involved in sourcing, conversion, and logistics management and includes products, services and solutions and related information. You will participate in the development and implementation of supply chain initiatives as a part of a major business transformation activity or strategic, innovative, end-to-end supply chain solutions. Contribute to IBM customer engagements and / or outsourcing projects. Due to cross functional background in supply chain, this position impacts multiple supply chain functions. In this role you will interact with Supply assurance, Global logistics trade, global logistics procurement, Americas global logistics suppliers, manufacturing, Eng,,Brand advocates, STS teams, Logistics suppliers and other teams inside and outside of IBM. You will: Address performance issues within the given global management system, resolve issues both on a case-by-case basis as well as pervasive issues. Work with other Global Logistics process owners to support logistics projects (requirement and process definition; etc.) Execute Business Controls activities such as compliance testing, Key Controls reporting, self-assessments, peer reviews; support to internal audits and customs audits and requests for information Contract/Supplier management and support to Operation activities representation in IT projects Interface to local internal customers (Fulfillment, Finance, Tax etc), suppliers and government agencies Responsible for business case development of supply chain solutions for less complex projects or assists in business case development for supply chain solutions and strategic supply chain initiatives. Supports implementation of transformation programs. Uses key methodologies to improve supply chain performance. Assists in identification, analysis and/or solution of complex business problems and presents innovative supply chain solutions. Support Month/quarter/Year end activities, even if any is during weekend, holidays. Some of the required and preferred skills and experience from an ideal candidate are listed below.
