The role in more detail:

Scheduling and event logistics

  • Communicate and coordinate with vendors, venues, planners, clients and our creative team for a successful execution
  • Manage each event execution
  • Communicate details and information to appropriate teams for installation and execution.
  • Availability for some after-hours or weekend calls
  • On-site supervision may be required

Manage internal and external communication flow

  • Ensure all departments are on-point with communications
  • Ensure all departments are communicating and are organized to the set standard
  • Host weekly meetings for team

Manage social media

  • Manage online presence through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest
  • Devise a social media plan and execute
  • Present a thorough plan of action that aligns with the brand and appeals to our audience

Marketing and promotion materials

  • Assess business opportunities for marketing, advertisements, photo-shoots, discounts etc.
  • Track promotional/marketing spending
  • Work with Creative Director for all internal/external marketing materials
  • Responsible for execution of monthly E-Blast with design team

Requirements to perform the role

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in event planning, business administration, communications or another relevant program
  • 2+ years working experience in a corporate environment
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Display of leadership. Position requires a willingness to lead, take charge and offer opinions and direction
  • Positive attitude, flexibility and creativity, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Superior verbal and written skills
  • Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, demonstrating professionalism

  • Administrative Support: 2 years

Required license or certification:

  • Drivers License G
