The Hydropothecary is a licensed producer of medical marijuana, which is sold legally and directly to patients with a prescription from their doctor through our company website. Founded in 2013, Hydropothecary aims to provide Canadians with quality products and an exceptional customer service experience.

We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator who will report to the Director, Capitals Projects. The Project Coordinator to work on an ongoing construction project. Working with individual project managers, develop project plans, creating task lists, editing and modifying tasks types, building a work breakdown structure. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Create task dependencies with understanding of constraints, and build project schedules using MS Project, including subprojects and various views;
  • Assess progress on completion of tasks and deliverables and maintain up-to-date status in the project schedule;
  • Monitor schedule deviations and variances, record scope changes, and trends that potentially affect schedule performance;
  • Take initiative to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members having diverse professional backgrounds;
  • Develop and communicate weekly status reports and “dashboard” reports on overall project progress;
  • Responsible for communicating any schedule conflicts, resource constraints, and time constraints to the project team;
  • Works with staff from throughout the company as well as with Project Managers to develop detailed project plans (with all tasks, durations, resources, etc.) from concept through completion for approved projects with all the interacting departments;
  • Utilize MS Project to manage projects and develop and socialize schedule reports;
  • Support the preparation of progress reports, standardized reporting procedures and the monitoring of overall project performance;
  • Communicate and publish plans to appropriate involved individuals to ensure each person understands the overall scope of the project and when tasks are required to be begun and completed;
  • Partner with Program Manager and Project Team for new projects to develop and integrate the master schedule from high level WBS;
  • Demonstrate the use of modern planning and scheduling principles, methodologies, techniques and tools;
  • Report with status updates as project progresses;
  • Keep Project Managers informed of impacts to project schedule;
  • Experience using Microsoft Project with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office software products;

The ideal candidate posses an engineering degree or technical diploma in Construction, Building, Civil or Architecture, holds a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Project Coordinator or Assistant Project Manager role, has good Knowledge of MS Project, site experience is a definite asset. Must be Bilingual (French, English).
