Summary

O’Hanlon Paving Ltd. is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced asphalt plant dispatcher for full-time, seasonal work in Edmonton.

Responsibilities

• Scaling in all trucks as they arrive on site
• Managing truck and driver traffic flow to alleviate congestion at the plant
• Ensure all drivers and scale house visitors are following site rules
• Taking field orders and working collaboratively with Superintendents and Foreman
• Working with third party supplier

Skills / Experience

• Strong safety and customer service mindset
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• An excellent eye for detail, organization and sound judgement
• Proficient at Microsoft Office (especially word and excel)
• Experience as a Dispatcher, Scale House Operator is considered an asset. Other equivalences will be considered.

Work Conditions

• In town work
• Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
• Overtime as required and other duties as required (may include up to twelve hour shifts, six days per week)
