Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Offer information regarding points of interest, assist guests with special needs
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance.
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  • Maintain positive working relations with colleagues and all hotel departments
  • Checking in individuals by assisting with baggage and parking vehicles
  • Deliver luggage for guests and provide personal escorts to their rooms
  • Checking out individuals by assisting with baggage and retrieving their vehicles
  • Checking in group tours by unloading baggage from buses, keeping an accurate count of baggage and delivery of luggage to guest rooms
  • Ski Storage duties – in season: Storing and retrieving guests skis and toboggans and cleaning and upkeep of area
  • Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
  • Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the hotel health and safety program
  • Compliance to all department & hotel safety standards
  • Be knowledgeable in all emergency and general crisis procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in the English language (verbal & written), second language an asset
  • Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Previous customer related experience an asset
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Must be flexible in terms of working hours
  • Must have a Class 5 Driver License in good standing
  • The ability to driver both automatic and standard vehicles
  • Criminal check required
  • Proficient in the English Language (verbal & written), second language an asset

Physical Aspects of Position:
Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift

  • Must be in excellent physical condition and able to lift heavy objects
  • Working outside in extreme weather conditions
  • Described Motions – Bending, standing, reaching, walking & lifting
