As Technical Lead for SharePoint development your role will be to provide technical expertise on the SharePoint 2013 platform. You will provide direction to projects, releases and support self-organizing teams to effectively realize development and administration quality, delivery and operational commitments. Your overall accountability is for the overall quality of the technical solutions being delivered to the business or IT. You will also be responsible for ensuring appropriate service transition and support activities related to deployment and development support are in place and ensuring that the team follows Economical’s SDLC, working with the team to identify opportunities to improve processes, standards and tools in their function.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical resources
  • Oversee technical design and development
  • Work with architecture to develop technical solution to meet requirements
  • Collaborate with your team following an Agile Scrum methodology
  • Implement best practices and standards

  • Highly flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to effectively coach and mentor others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications:

  • University Degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of Sharepoint experience, including proven experience specifically with Microsoft SharePoint 2013 administration, development and configuration
  • Experience with Active Directory and LDAP is an asset
  • Proven experience with SharePoint 2010/2013 installation, platform configuration and ongoing support activities.
  • A Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or equivalent designation is desirable but not mandatory.
  • 5+ years of software / application analysis, design, development and delivery experience
  • 2+ years of formal or informal leading of development teams
  • Relevant industry-related certifications are considered an asset. For example:
    • SharePoint 2013 Administration Certified Professional
    • SharePoint 2013 Development Certified Professional
    • Certified Scrum Master
    • ITIL certification
    • Agile Delivery
  • Experience with web technologies: Java, Java EE (EJB, Messaging Systems, web services), XML, JavaScript, Web Frameworks.
  • Understanding of environment and infrastructure requirements and planning (performance scalability, reliability and security)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of application design and development trends, practices and architecture
