JOB PURPOSE
The role of the Digital Media Designer is to be a part of a small team of blending adult learning experts and digital media. Taking part in the creation of a wide range of digital training solutions including serious games, website design and development, interactive videos, and info-graphics to assist the CEW to meet its objectives while striving to maintain our Vision, Mission and Values.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Provide graphic design content for projects including CEW Website
2. Undertake photography/videography and lighting
3. Editing audio and video
4. Motion graphics/animation (2D & 3D)
5. Assist with maintaining digital media inventory

Work Environment
The jobholder should have a good understanding of new and emerging technology and technical processes. The jobholder will have an active interest in interactive media, particularly digital technologies including commercial and educational trends in interactive media, such as special effects, photography, film, sound and animation including 2D & 3D. Ability to work within an ever-changing environment with flexibility and acceptance with a desire to support and participate lifelong learning.

Work Dimensions
The jobholder is required to think creatively and show innovation and should be interested in the future of interactive media, particularly digital technology. The jobholder, while be directly responsible to the Producer & UX Director but will be required to make decisions in relation to their own workload on a routine basis and make decisions that impact their own priorities and delivery of the CEW projects. The jobholder will be required to carry out a wide range of duties, some of which will require great attention to detail. They will need to be able to balance their workload and work on multiple projects at the same time.

Relevant Skills & Experience
Graphic Design:
· Assist developing project briefs
· Preparation of rough design concepts
· Experience using industry-standard graphics and multimedia software packages e.g Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop
· Basic knowledge in Maya and Flash
· Knowledge of HTML and CSS
· Comfortable working within a MAC environment
