BOW VIEW MANOR-THE BRENDA STRAFFORD FOUNDATION
We are looking for a Full time RN EDUCATOR at our Bow View Manor location
The Brenda Strafford Foundation LTD. is currently seeking the next great addition to their already great Education team! We currently have a position open for an RN Educator in Calgary. The Educator must be passionate about how they can support and foster the Mission, Vision and Values and the achievement of the strategic priorities of The Foundation.

The objective of the RN Educator is to provide support to the workforce related to their competencies, and knowledge, working closely with the Site Administrator and the Director of Nursing. As a key member of the Education team, this individual collaborates in the delivery of a wide range of educational services in support of the Brenda Strafford Foundation LTD.

Some of the critical work the Educator is responsible to deliver:

  • Identify and plan the learning needs of the workforce;
  • Deliver of educational programs to meet the identified learning needs;
  • Evaluate staff competencies;
  • Facilitate the staff immunization and TB Screening programs;
  • Collect the statistics and data for the reporting of KPI’s;
  • Provide training for the Occupational Health & Safety program, and hold a lead position with site committee OH&S meetings.

Job Requirements and Qualifications Include:

  • 3-5 years of related experience in Adult Education, capacity with proven ability to manage in a demanding environment;
  • Adult Education certificate or diploma an asset, but must have experience in adult education;
  • Proven ability to lead and influence thinking and actions of others;
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and creativity in bringing positive and pragmatic business solutions to the table;
  • Current registration with CARNA;
  • Gerontology nursing specialty preferred;
  • *Adult Education certificate or diploma an asset.

  • Ability to work well autonomously as well as within a team environment;
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills;
  • Strong Understanding of OH&S an asset;
  • Exceptional communication skills – both verbal and written – in support of the development of human resource related policies, administrative guidelines and processes, and draft various internal employee communications;
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring, being a valued resources for management and employees.
