Thai United is a specialised importer and distributor of popular ethnic foods and beverages from Asia. We import our products from Asian suppliers that are globally recognised for their excellent brands and distribute them to our wholesalers across the country. We are looking for an Inventory Management Specialist to join our team. This person will report to the Manager of Inventory Control and will play a vital role in the company’s inventory control process.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy at the warehouse, resolve inventory discrepancies and improve inventory control processes. Core to your success will be your familiarity with, and agility on, various software programs. These include Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and our business software: SAP Business one and Produmex. This software is core to our operations and help us manage every aspect – from sales and customer relationships to financial and, of course, inventory accuracy. You will also be required to train others on this software; further cementing your own learning and providing the chance to educate as well as implement. Core Accountabilities:

  • Warehouse inventory counts

Ensure smooth inventory count cycles and create effective reports to analyze results to identify any gaps in inventory count process; use Microsoft Office Suite to effectively communicate findings and present to management.

  • Inventory systems integrity

Responsible for maintaining inventory integrity between SAP system and physical inventory at the warehouse; inventory discrepancy research and adjustments

  • Process improvements: works closely with other departments to build effective and efficient inventory control processes as well as improving existing ones; responsible for implementing Produmex and creating documentation to train others on these processes.

Academic/Educational Requirements:

  • University Diploma or Degree

Preferred Digital Skills:

  • Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point
  • SAP Business One
