ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a Junior Draftsperson/Designer with some background in industrial electrical, instrumentation and mechanical drawings. You should be able to use AutoCAD and/or Microstation as well as have some experience with 3D modeling.

Under the general direction of a Team Leader, the duties of a Draftsperson/Designer include:

  • Creating or modifying drawings based on sketches or concepts provided by Technical Engineers or Designers.
  • Ensuring that all work is properly checked in accordance with Tetra Tech and outside applicable Standards & Procedures.
  • Though you may be assigned to one discipline, Designers are sometimes expected to assist with the preparation or modification of drawings in other disciplines.
  • Drafters & Designers are expected to work closely and share knowledge within the company and with clients.
  • Responsible for adhering to all health and safety policies and guidelines.
  • Occasional travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

  • Industrial electrical design experience (oil and gas industry, mining, Pulp & Paper electrical utilities)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD ( experience with 3D an asset) and exposure to Microstation
  • Proficient in MS Office particularly in Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of CEC, API, NFPA, NEC and other related electrical safety codes
  • Good interpersonal skills required for internal team interfaces
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Desire for continued skill development.
