Location: Quebec City

Key Purpose:
In this position, you will be responsible for commissioning, repairing, and maintaining network facilities and equipment according to standards, policies, and procedures. This position serves as the focal point for the proactive identification and resolution of network and site issues. The position will cover the night shift, Sunday to Friday, 10:00PM to 5:30AM.

Main Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance on cell site network elements including environmental, data transmission, power, base station equipment and related peripherals

Complete acceptance test plan (ATP) for new and upgraded equipment

Update and maintain records for maintenance, site documentation, and as-built

Proactively investigate problems and develop solutions

Maintain communications and cooperation with other team members and departments

Attend to the security and maintenance of supplied tools, test equipment, computers and vehicles

Support and monitor on site contractors and other personnel to ensure network equipment availability and performance are maintained

Support general and technical information sharing i.e. site and work activity, procedures and technical

Practices, bulletins and tutorials

Maintain a proficient level of technical expertise of new technologies

Qualifications

Key Job Requirements:
Technician level diploma in Electronics/Telecommunications or equivalent experience

Assets – experience in the maintenance and field optimization of a wireless communications network and familiarity with data and RF test equipment

Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Good written and verbal communications skills (English and French) and general knowledge of computers

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, changing environment

Ability to work well independently and in a group environment

Valid driver’s license with good driving record

Available to be on call and work shifts
