Position
Overview

Our
growing QA Team is looking for an easy going, energetic and experienced
individual who has a solid understanding of EMR products & QA practices and
is interested in expanding their existing skill set while working on exciting
projects in a fast-paced and casual environment which values communication and
contribution by all team members. The successful candidate will be
self-motivated and capable of working independently, as well as in a team
setting.

Reporting
to the QA Manager, the successful candidate will be involved in all software
quality assurance activities for their assigned projects. The candidate is also
expected to drive product quality improvements, participate in discussions
regarding the requirements/design of new features as well as improvement of
existing features, functional test design and planning, and creation and
execution of exploratory and automated test cases.

Responsibilities

Oversee
all aspects of quality for the assigned feature under test and provide recommendations
for improvements to user experience

Devise
the best possible test plans for your assigned project(s)

Configure
the test environment and setup test data to achieve solid and reliable test
coverage

Create
and Execute manual and automated test cases

Work
closely with other QA team members, Product managers and development teams to
resolve system and product issues

Be
accountable for product testing (functional, integration, regression,
exploratory), defect tracking, reporting, resolution discussions and risk
analysis

Create
performance test scripts and monitor load/stress for transactions under test

Qualifications

Required
Knowledge

3-5
years of work experience in a fast paced QA environment

Experience
working in an environment with rapidly changing priorities and aggressive
timelines

Software/Computer
Science engineering degree or equivalent degree from a technical institute or
college in the field of computer science, or equivalent work experience

Demonstrated
experience with software quality assurance principles and practices including
test planning, test strategy, test matrix design in a fast-paced environment

Recent
experience working with automation frameworks primarily Selenium using Python
or Java is an asset

Experience
in an agile or iterative software development environment using tools like Jira
& Zephyr

Demonstrated
ability to write basic queries in SQL

Ability
to read logs to look for backend exceptions

Healthcare
product experience is a plus

Self-motivated
and able to “hit the ground running” and utilize their extensive
product or QA experience to test those products effectively with minimal
direction and limited supervision

Able
to lead product quality from the front by building effective stakeholder
relationships with BAs, Development, Client Services and physicians

Capable
of understanding complex features with limited specifications

Excellent
organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in an environment with
rapidly changing responsibilities and requirements

Able
to prioritize their workload with minimal direction while taking into
consideration the priorities of the department and organization as a whole

Strong
verbal and written communications skills (not afraid to speak up if
release/product does not meet internal quality requirements)

Capable
of communicating effectively outside of QA for the purposes of gathering
required information, communicating problems and achieving resolutions

Excellent
analytical and problem solving skills

Attention
to detail

Goal
oriented self-starter who can work independently as well as in a team
environment with minimal supervision and has an appetite for continuous
learning

Comfortable
working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
