TELUS is seeking a Vancouver or Edmonton based full time paralegal on a temporary basis for a fixed term of 12 months. This motivated and team-oriented paralegal will come with experience in corporate commercial matters, undertaking research and following legislative developments in a fast paced, results oriented environment. The successful candidate will work closely with TELUS lawyers, clients and our external advisors, and be a member of the Business Customer Team within TELUS Legal Services.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Abilities:
Accredited paralegal with 3 to 7 years paralegal experience

Superior legal research and analytical skills, including being well versed in the use of CANLII, QL and SEDAR

Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize and manage multiple assignments

Strong communication and client management skills

Required Professional Designation/Certification:
Paralegal Certificate or Diploma

Required Experience:
Experience in drafting and interpreting commercial agreements including non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, subcontracting agreements and services agreements

Experience in undertaking due diligence projects

Experience in tracking and reporting on legislative developments

Experience working in an in-house environment with sales teams and enterprise customers is preferred but not essential
