Working in conjunction with the Majors Account Managers, the ASR will be responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue targets for an assigned account territory. Primary areas of focus will be lead generation, deal management and completion activities as necessary, day-to-day operational support for the account base and administrative duties as required.
Accountable to support the TELUS Business Solutions team for the growth and acquisition of revenues within assigned account base
Prospect actively to uncover new opportunities to enhance client base within the account territory and work with the Account Managers to determine best approach
Act as an advocate within TELUS to support the customer when dealing with service issues
Support pre-sale solution trials through development and management of implementation support plans
Support client moves, adds, changes and organic growth on account(s) for contract renewal and for potential sales opportunities
Develop long term key business relationships at the operational levels with clients by positioning TELUS as a key component of the customer’s business strategy
Contact customers to discuss the client’s business for contract renewal; explains and recommends TELUS products and services to meet customer needs; prepares costing estimates; initiates sales process
Assist in development of strategic account plans and business plans
Support Account Managers for assigned activities; gathering and compiling information; initiation of hand-off documents, coordinating internal resources for data gathering, develops quotes, processing contracts, and delivering proposals for services and products, etc.
Maintain an accurate sales funnel management and sales forecasting
Maintain current knowledge of TELUS offerings, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies, and their ability to meet the customer’s needs
Ability to develop relationships and profile customer information
Ability to manage and grow the relationship within large Enterprise accounts
Demonstrated competency to consistently sell application-based solutions in the boardroom of large Enterprise accounts
Ability to view the sale from the customer’s perspective
Ability to foster a trust based relationship with the customer
Solutions approach to selling – value at the application level

A minimum of 2 years of successful sales/sales support experience in IT/telecommunications industry, with a preference for direct experience dealing with large Enterprise customers
Demonstrated experience managing complex solutions within large customers
Consistent high performance against targets
Evidence of selling and managing customer relationships
Ability to perform well in a team environment
University or post-secondary education degree is preferred
