TEKsystems is seeking Core IP Network Engineer for our client in Anchorage, AK. This will be a 6 month contract to hire position.

This position will sit in Anchorage, AK

This resource will be expected to perform highly complex and diverse designs, plans, deployments, As well as support the companys region wide MPLS, IP, Carrier Ethernet, Optical, and SONET Core Network systems.

Additional responsibilities
Collaborate with other departments to ensure the delivery of a reliable and scalable network while meeting business and customers needs.
Extensive hand-on experience with the configurations of Alcatel, Brocade or Juniper routers and switches is required
Experience in TCP/IP and routing protocols ( BGP, ISIS, OSPF.
Experience in layer-2 Ethernet technologies
Ability to create and edit network drawings using Microsoft Visio application
The ability to tackle difficult engineering issues.
A proven leader for large projects or initiatives with the ability to guide others in the selection of new technologies.
The ability to communicate complex technical issues internally or externally

Certifications

Any single or a combination of Alcatel, Brocade, or Juniper Certifications is desired (however additional years of applicable experience or previous certification can be used to fulfill this requirement.)
