Account Certifier for GTFO North America

  • Performs monthly/quarterly/annual attestations on behalf of Global Trade Finance Operations for PSGL, FMS & Internal Accounts for financial reporting and analysis to TD Finance teams: FSS, TDS teams and Business Line Performance for GTF front & back offices;
  • Reviews the Montreal IFC (International Financial Center) accounts on CDA & IDAPS GL for both On & Off-Balance Sheet Assets;
  • Reviews 7 Domestic Revenue Centers & 10 TDS Responsibility Centers
  • CCAM (Cost Center Approver Management) Delegate to Senior Manager for expense (invoice) processing, purchasing & monthly cost center reviews.

Stewardship of GTFO BLR Team & Product Areas Support

  • Reviews transactional end results & investigates outstanding/rejected/suspense items; Identifies potential risks including processing gaps while recommending & documenting resolutions & process changes;
  • Administers GTFO GL Map (Transits, Cost Centers, Companies and Responsibility Centers) to ensure accounts string composition and roll up to Hyperion are accurate including annual review.;
  • Provides subject matter expertise for systems access and data retrieval (advanced knowledge of GTFO environment including Facilitrade, Global, Eximbills, OnBase, RCM, STORQM, MS Office, FRS: PSGL & FMS, TD Works, Web ADI, TDBG Intranet Reporting Tools);
  • Escalates non-standard or high risk transactions or other activities as appropriate;
  • Capability to execute responsibilities involving one or more of the following:
    • transactions or activities with a lack of market standards or practices;
    • multiple step transactions within manual & automated environments;
    • multiple jurisdictions (currencies, time zones, legal entities).

Financial & Managerial Reporting Analysis

  • Confirms P&L activity prior to consolidation at month-end & revenue distribution with TDBG Internal partners. Provides Exception Reporting & Variance Analysis;
  • Reviews monthly outstanding balances for:
    • BASEL requirements in conjunction with TD Commercial Bank & FSS;
    • Capital assets in conjunction with TDS Capital Reporting;
  • Coordinates audit packages & responds to flux & reporting requests for the GTFO product portfolios;
  • Follows TDBG/TDS regulations & operating practices with respect to GTFO business impact & reporting requirements (Internal & External Audit, Regulatory such as SOX, GAAP/IFRS, etc.).

Team Management & Development

  • Responsible for the development of staff through coaching, guidance, cross training & support of learning maps.
  • Identify procedures for improvement; recommend, implement and monitor the achievement of process enhancements.
  • Assist in the establishment, refinement and implementation of operation policies for the unit by providing suggestions or recommendations.
  • Oversee coordination of team compliance to TD Finance policies (Canada/USA, IFRS, Transit Balance Sheet & Control, Internal Accounts, etc.) with overall GTFO policies & procedures.

Job Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related discipline
3+ years experience in Accounting / Financial Reporting including GL, consolidation

and IFRS Three years experience in People Management Highly organized and have the ability to work within stringent deadlines for multiple deliverables.
Position requires strict attention to accuracy, detail & timeliness.
Computer literacy with advanced MS Office skills
Strong analytical & problem solving skills
Proven communication and relationship skills
Proficiency in both French and English
