Job Title: Production & Revenue Accountant – Projects, RQ18-45 (Contract role – 12 month term)

TAQA North is currently searching for a Production & Revenue Accountant – Projects. Reporting to the Supervisor, Production and Revenue Accounting, the successful candidate will be responsible for projects such as aged accounts receivable clearings and reviewing JIB disputes for operated and non-operated properties. TAQA North is seeking an individual who is a self-starter with solid skills in Production & Revenue Accounting.

As a part of this challenging role you will:

• Have a clear understanding of production and revenue accounting principles
• Execution of basic PAS maintenance which includes: well, facility, royalty contracts and sales contracts
• Have the ability to perform amendments on the PAS production accounting system
• Calculate and book amended revenues, royalties and processing fees
• Review purchaser statements and reconcile accounts receivable
• Resolve JIBLink disputes
• Complete analysis and processing of required amendments in a timely manner
• Assist with special projects or step into a PA desk where needed
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

The Successful Candidate will possess:

• CAPPA certification
• Minimum of 5 years production and revenue accounting experience
• Experience with the following applications: PAS, Petrinex, MS Excel, Qbyte FM, Avocet, CS Explorer, Petrotranz, JIBLink
• Knowledge of Alberta, BC & Saskatchewan operated and non-operated properties (all products)
• Understanding processing fees and familiar with JV agreements
• Analytical and problem solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Self-starter with a willingness to learn and execute the role independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic team environment
