Summary

Responsible for providing accurate production estimates based on specifications outlined on the request for quotation form within a mandated timeline by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Examines artwork and or label sample if available to determine printing specifications.
• Calculates cost and returns of printing labels considering factors such as size, quantity, materials required, number of inks, time restraints, packaging and cost of shipping.
• Make recommendations on materials and manufacturing specifications.
• Confers with department heads or production personnel to develop or confirm information regarding various cost elements.
• Receives and reviews RFQ from Sales and/or Customer Service, ensuring all receiving information is complete and enters into the system.
• Provide comprehensive cost reports including time studies and efficiency metrics to ensure our estimates continue to meet customer costing requirements while ensuring jobs are profitable..
• Meets challenges with resourcefulness; participate in the development and continuous improvement of the estimating process.
• The ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines with strong attention to details in a fast paced environment. Be able to work independently.
• Follows all Company policies and procedures.
• Comply with all HACCP/Food Safety/ISO/Quality policies and procedures.
• Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring you are always wearing the protective equipment required and working safely.

Qualifications

• College Diploma in Industrial Engineering or Cost Accounting; three to six months related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Individual must be familiar with Cost Accounting and have an Industrial Engineering background.
• Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office; Manufacturing software and PSI would be an asset. We currently involved in the implementation of Radius.
• Other duties as assigned.
