Overview

Talisman’s Chauvin play makes up an area within our Canadian Delivery Unit and is an oil asset producing about 10,000 barrels of medium/heavy sweet and sour oil per day. Much of the Chauvin asset is waterflooded and supported by a team with a relentless focus on maintaining base production and low risk infill drilling.

Responsibilities

Working with the support of the area Production Forman, the Production Operator will provide

Day to day Operation of oil wells, injection wells, booster compressors, two stage reciprocating compression equipment, JT skid, sweetening skid and treating facility
Assisting in the implementation of program standards, practices and site-specific procedures to ensure compliance with Loss Control Standards.
Participating in SOLIS progression training as outlined in area goals.
Ensuring all operating and maintenance activities are conducted in a safe, effective manner in accordance with TECAN policies and legislated regulations
Participating in area initiatives to improve practices for operations and maintenance programs
Entering daily production data into PVR, using word processing, spreadsheets and other critical software
General housekeeping duties

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude considered a real asset. Trades background in Instrumentation, Millwright etc
Must possess valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
Experience working in operations in the oil and gas industry or similar industry is desirable.
