Our Vancouver area based client is a leader in the provision of healthcare services to the British Columbia public.
The client is seeking a Senior Project Manager on a contract basis to support project activities.

Project Description:
Nurse Practitioners in BC are required to submit NP encounter codes and ICD9 codes for their patient encounters. The intent of encounter reporting is to ensure enhanced accountability for nurse practitioner program expenditures through increased accuracy in reporting and patient utilization information. Appropriate encounter records are required by the Ministry of Health to be submitted, including encounter codes and ICD9 codes through the ministry’s medical claims payment system/Health insurance BC (Teleplan), within 90 days of the patient encounter. There is no current solution to support the data collection and submission of this data for Nurse Practitioners working in acute and ambulatory sites across the Region. The client is targeting compliance with this ministry requirement by the end of this fiscal year.

Anticipated services include but are not limited to:
Coordinate Vendor Work
Provide a single point of contact to liaise with the client, vendor, and various health organizations
Provide a single point of accountability to deliver the required components of the project. The services shall generally encompass the following:
Lead the planning team, which will be comprised of staff and contracted technical team members
Provide project leadership, working closely with all teams, the clients and the vendor to monitor and ensure the project accomplishes all goals and deliverables of the project on time and to budget
Develop and distribute regular project reporting to sponsors and stakeholders

Project Documentation:
Compile Project Charter
Complete the Production Turnover (PTO)
Service Desk Support (SDS)
Complete Service Level Agreement for the application

Additional anticipated services include:
Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of project
Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
Measures all deliverables against vendor recommended design and best/normal practices
Effectively applies client methodology and enforces project standards
Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis
Holds regular status meetings with project team
Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors
Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
Mitigates team conflict and communication problems
Manages day-to-day client interactions
Sets and manages client expectations
