Role: Reporting to theAccounts Payable Manager, the Accounts Payable Associate is responsible forensuring accurate reconciliation of vendor accounts monthly; timely processing,payment and follow-up of vendor invoices; and that early payment discounts aretaken advantage of.

Responsibilities:The successful candidatewill :
Ensuretimely processing and payment of vendor invoices.
Monitorvendor terms to ensure discounts are taken correctly.
Trackand follow-up on variances as per company policies and procedures.
Reviewand research receiving documents. Adhere to monthly procedure of closing open purchaseorders prior to period end.
Ensuredocumentation and justification requirements are fully understood. Respond tovendor queries in prompt, courteous and timely manner.
Follow-upwith vendors regarding discrepancies, issues and research for outstanding items(statement reconciliation). Develop good working relationships with vendors.
Ensurecompliance with FAMM and SOX requirements as related to Accounts Payable.Report non-compliance issues to Supervisor.
Updateand develop new processes related to vendors, suppliers and managingdocumentation.
Ensureoverhead is signed off on appropriately.
Performother duties as required.

Qualifications:
Minimumof two (2) years experience of Accounts Payable in a high volume environment.
Strongorganizational, communication and problem solving skills.
Excellentteamwork and time management skills.
Possessa keen attention to detail and strive towards service excellence.
Fastand accurate data entry skills are required.
Foodservice distribution experience would be an asset.
