Job Summary

Syncra Construction Corp. is looking for an Administrative Assistant for 12-month contract with a possibility to move to a permanent full-time position after.

As a key member of our growing team, you will be helping with project management, accounting & general office duties. Customer service skills must be excellent as you will be answering phones and greeting visitors. This is also a support role for senior staff, marketing, safety and the projects administration.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities:

* Administration of project contracts, drawings, close out documentation and other project related documents

* Assisting Safety, Marketing and Operations with day-to-day tasks

* Assisting Accounting with data entry, monthly billing and reporting

* General office administration duties including faxing, printing, scanning, copying, reception, mail, couriers, office supplies and kitchen maintenance

* Ensuring consistency in Company documents

* Managing calendars, vacation schedules and appointments

* Maintenance of the departments filing system, including documents, drawings, manuals and warranties

Qualifications and Skills

Requirements:

* Minimum 2 years of office working experience (building trade or construction environment preferred)

* Post-secondary certificate/diploma/degree

* Basic accounting knowledge and experience

* Understanding of project management techniques

* Strong IT skill set in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat

* Understanding of construction management software would be an asset

* Understanding of construction accounting software would be an asset

* Professional, confident and respectful approach to building relationships

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

* Highly organized, detail oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
