Sunrise Waldorf School is currently accepting applications from fully qualified, experienced, Waldorf-trained teachers interested in taking the 2015/2016 Grade Four through to Grade Eight Graduation while meeting BC Ministry Prescribed Learning Outcomes (PLO’s). The position begins as soon as a successful applicant is identified. Other responsibilities include attending regular department and faculty meetings, serving on committees, lesson planning, participation in festivals and recitals, written student reports, meeting with parents and more.The ideal candidate will have completed Waldorf training and have experience teaching in a Waldorf school. As well as a history of strong class room management and the ability to build and strengthen professional relationships with parents, faculty and staff and Sunrise Waldorf School as a whole. Our faculty is looking for a colleague who will enthusiastically join their collaborative work with our Head of School.All applicants must qualify to receive a BC Teaching Certificate, and have completed Waldorf teacher training. This is a full-time position. Benefits include medical, dental and extended health options, plus a tuition benefit. Salary is $60,000 per year.
