Reporting to Lead – Project Controls, this position is responsible for ensuring high quality and accurate cost, progress and performance information is delivered for cost control purposes relating to the turnarounds and outages.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support suncor customers in owing and effectively managing their cost targets
- Work closely with internal / external vendors to analyze scope and translate into financial outlooks
- Effectively monitor cost, scope changes, trends and provide forecasting and month end reporting
- Review and challenge contractor and internal expenses
- Participate in local improvement initiatives within the team
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
- Relevant University degree with related experience, preferably in Project Controls environment
- Five to eight years related experience with a financial or project controls background
- Audit experience considered
Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of basic cost control and accounting processes is essential
- Strong analytical, interpretive, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Ability to pay attention to and interpret fine detail
- Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel, are essential
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential
- A self starter, able to work with minimal supervision and interact with a wide variety of disciplines
- Experience with SAP cost reporting a definite asset
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Location of work is in Fort McMurray and relocation to Fort McMurray is required

- Monday to Friday schedule, 40 hour work week
