COMPENSATION:

  • Starting Wage – $15.25 per hour
  • Full Time Permanent Colleagues are eligible to participate in the hotel’s benefit package including subsidized medical, dental, prescription and pension benefits.
  • All Full Time Permanent employees are eligible for a free ski pass (winter) and free golf membership and mountain bike pass in the summer

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Reporting to your respective Sous Chef and Chef de Parti, you will play a hands on role within the kitchen brigade. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare and cook all kinds of regional and continental food

Prepare and cook all kinds of food, meals, soups, sweets and any special dishes

Assists with developing the skills of 2nd and 3rd cooks, apprentices & dishwashers as required

Plan the daily special menu on Chef’s instruction

Manage high standard presentation of food and buffets with Chef

Assure that all food and all food items are prepared and served according to established standards and practices

Determine the cost and food requirement when necessary

Ideal Candidates

Can expertly and effectively operate various pieces of kitchen equipment such as stoves, grills, ovens, and fryers

Ensures all food items are received and safely stored and labelled including maintaining temperature logs and par stocks

Ensures kitchen is cleaned and organized at all times
Works well in a team environment

2-3 years commercial cooking experience required
