Communications Coordinator (1.0 FTE)
Edmonton, AB

Our successful candidate for this role will exhibit strong writing and editing skills and a passion for creating compelling, relevant content….

When STARS took to the air for the first time more than 30 years ago, our founder, Dr. Powell, checked the mail every morning to see if enough donations had been received to keep our doors open one more day. Motivated to dramatically change emergency care for communities across a vast landscape, he threw his passion into creating a helicopter air ambulance service – built and supported by the community.

Today, STARS provides world-class services across Western Canada and continues to be fueled by grassroots community support. For many, STARS is their lifeline. We want you to be part of the crew that makes this all possible.

Communications Coordinator – (1.0 FTE) – Edmonton, Regina or Saskatoon Can a well-crafted story save a life? Can a powerful appeal to our allies fuel a helicopter? We like to think they can.

Community support is the lifeblood of STARS, with more than 50 per cent of our operating funding coming from individual donors, communities, and businesses. Building a strong, life-long relationship with these allies is crucial to the sustainability of our service. Much of that affinity is achieved through creating compelling and inspiring content.
