STAR BUILDING MATERIALS NOW HIRING FULL TIME YARD STAFF

Star Building is seeking full time Yard staff to join our team

Description:

Serving customers, packing orders, loading trucks and putting away stock in a fast paced lumberyard environment

Job Duties:

• Customer service focus
• Safe operation of a fork lift
• Packing lumber and hardware orders
• Loading and unloading various building materials
• General housekeeping of yard and warehouses
• Follow all safety procedures at all times
• Various duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Must be physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs
• Steel Toe safety boots
• Knowledge of building materials
• Hard Worker
• Highly organized with ability to work independently
• Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively
• Punctual individual with respect to work schedules.
• Ability to work in a labour intensive environment
• Yard duties such as organization of equipment, cleanliness, maintenance
• Forklift experience an asset, but will train
• You must have outstanding communication and relationship building skills
• You are self-motivated and offer excellent customer service.
• Ability and understanding of cycle counting and shrink prevention
