Organization: Speech-Language and Audiology Canada Position: Copy-Editor and Publication Assistant Reports to: Editor-in-Chief Location: This is a part-time position that requires someone who is set-up to work remotely with their own computer and with internet access Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) is seeking a dynamic individual to join the editorial team of the Canadian Journal of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Canada . ABOUT THE POSITION The Copy Editor & Publication Assistant takes a lead role in copy-editing the English manuscripts published in the journal; ensuring correct spelling, grammar, punctuation and style. The Copy Editor &* *Publication Assistant also assists the Editor-in-Chief in the administration and production of the Canadian Journal of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (CJSLPA). ABOUT THE JOURNAL The Canadian Journal of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (CJSLPA) is a peer-reviewed, online journal of clinical practice for audiologists, speech-language pathologists and researchers. The journal is published by Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC). www.cjslpa.ca Key Responsibilities Copy Editor Administration of the Journal Key Skills Education and Experience This position is ideal for post-graduate students studying journalism, English, communications, or a related field. The ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated, who has superior written communication skills and who has a willingness to learn. Previous science copy-editing experience is an asset.
