PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR

Surveillance Operative

We are seeking experienced surveillance investigators to support our investigative services division as well as our tactical security unit.

ROLE:

The role of the surveillance operative is to respond to call-outs and support our tactical security unit to gather video evidence during incidences of civil unrest.

* Case files will be assigned to Investigators throughout the Province of Alberta and into BC. Investigators must be able/willing to travel if/when required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior training and experience in a surveillance or intelligence unit with a Canadian (USA or UK) law enforcement agency or military service is preferred.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Alberta Private Investigators License (BC licensing is also an asset)
• Proven experience as a private investigator, police investigator or intelligence officer
• Surveillance operatives must have their own evidence documentation equipment & vehicle
• Valid class 5 (or higher) driver’s license
• Prior investigative experience – evidence gathering, note taking, court prep/testimony
• Must be able to use a video camera & digital camera to take professional quality video/photos
• Strong knowledge of the criminal code and civil laws governing surveillance and evidence
• Ability to work call-outs and be available for extended periods of time to work cases
• Applicants must posses exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
