Our client is a 9 year old male currently residing in Stittsville, ON. Living with autism and ADD, he requires some respite care a few Saturdays a month. He enjoys computers, coding, computer games, being active, technology, engineering, and reading. The ideal candidate will have experience with behaviours and working with kids on the autism spectrum. You will be a great match with this client if you enjoy being active and have a calming personality.
Every second Saturday for 4 hours in the afternoon.
Rate of Pay : $18 / hour
Start Date: As soon as possible
Spark is looking to hire motivated, dedicated, and experienced Child and Youth Support Workers. In this role, you’ll be working with children and youth in the community living with Autism Spectrum Disorder, varying mental illnesses, and behavioural challenges.
Care is tailored to each person, so each position is unique. Some clients need mainly in-home support. Others require support participating in community activities. Whatever the circumstances, we want people who will genuinely care about their wellbeing.

- Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 12 months)
- Experience working with individuals with ASD and/or mental health challenges and/or aggressive behaviours
- CPI and/or NVCI training
- University or College education in a related field
