Role: Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager

Role Details: Lead a significant ($250,000 per week) technology + business testing/quality assurance work stream for FATCA / CRS Program

Program: FATCA / CRS

Program Details: FATCA is a large regulatory program in which our client is working to achieve within the required regulatory timeframes. A complex series of system, process and people changes are required across the company in order to achieve compliance while delivering a positive customer experience, ensuring minimal negative impact on employees and maintaining the company’s reputation

Duration : 1 year (with possible extension)

Desirable Skills and Level Required

  • Good business acumen, judgment, decision making and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong team leadership skills (team consists of technology and business testing resources) – up to 10 people + working with a large cross functional, cross enterprise team of QA analysts, business subject matter experts and technology resources
  • Ability to communicate well and make executive level presentations periodically
  • Ability to liaise between and lead meetings with business and technical resources at various levels (developers, technical QA leads, business QA leads, business requirements analysts, business users, project and business Managers)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to frequent and sudden changes in scope, timelines and requirements
  • Ability to manage complex tasks and deliver on time with minimal supervision
  • Strong organization skills
  • Business and Technology testing experience (ideal = 7-10 years testing); experience in leading all aspects of the testing lifecycle is required including strategy, planning, execution, and closure.
  • Black box and white box testing experience desirable
  • Ability to understand and relate business and technical requirements for software and processes
  • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience as part of project teams in large software and/or process implementation projects is desirable
  • Test data management experience is desirable
  • SQL / XML / Excel skills a plus

Deliverables

  • Lead the planning, execution and closure of complex business and technology testing (UAT, BAT, and integration testing) (involves coordinating with multiple lines of business and technology partners)
  • Create test plans
  • Assist in the creation of test cases based on business and technical requirements for various phases of testing (UAT, BAT, end to end SIT)
  • Assist in defining test data requirements
  • Create test data in testing environments (or manage the creation)
  • Prepare requirements traceability and test coverage analysis
  • Execute tests and document results for various phases of testing (UAT, Business acceptance testing, Enterprise Integration testing) including:
    • Executing and logging the results of the tests
    • Evaluating the test results against technical and business expectations
    • Document deviations from expected results
    • Log defects and track them through retest to closure
  • Work with the business and technical teams to resolve defects
  • Use administration, execution, defect and monitoring tools as needed
  • Assist with status reporting and other tasks as needed
  • Manage teams of testers
  • Work effectively with development, requirements analysts and other testing specialists to investigate and resolve defects.
