Responsible for pre-inspection of truck as well as accurate completion of manifest/log book
Maintain equipment and report any damages or necessary repairs or malfunctions
Drive transport truck in a safe and respectful manner
Ensure merchandise loaded in vehicle is stowed in a safe and damage-free manner.
Unload trailer at stores and ensure case count delivered responds with order, pick up credit or damaged product.
Responsible for maintaining good working relations with customers at all times through cooperative attitude and well-groomed appearance.
Responsible for exercising good driving manners and taking precautionary measures especially during inclement weather conditions.
Follow the instructions outlined in the driver SOP and pay attention to detail
Responsible for all other duties, within incumbent’s ability, as may be assigned by manager
Job Requirements
- Accuracy and attention to detail to ensure case count delivered corresponds with the order, as well as ensuring that the proper documentation is maintained
- A proven track record of superior customer service skills
- 2-3 years experience driving tractor-trailer and/or straight truck
- High School Graduate with Class “1” Driver’s License
