We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join the National Information Technology department, based out of our offices in Stellarton, Nova Scotia.
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, in this role you will enhance the mitigation of IT project risk through growing test automation of appropriate end to end processes, and continually improving test volume and frequency. You will be responsible to deliver advice and communication to business teams, Business Analysts and Development teams on manual and automated testing scope.
Some of the key things you’ll be responsible for in this role will include:
Risk Communication and Transparency
Work with all IT Development teams to understand upcoming changes for incorporation into test plans and/or changes and new development of automated scripts
Provide advice on test scope required for planning purposes
Support and ensure complete transparency between test scope and requirements
On a continuing basis provide details of automated test failures from daily automation runs to Business Analysts and Development teams
Assist the business to understand automated test results and scope of UAT.
As required attend weekly transport calls and assist business to understand the risk for sign off to production.
Work closely with and support QA Analysts across digital and store operations delivery streams to ensure scope completeness and process consistency.
Testing and Test Automation
Define and maintain a complete ‘Gold’ suite of test scripts and master data for Integration and Regression test phases.
Using Worksoft Certify grow the volume of automated scripts for testing and document creation.
Using Worksoft Certify grow the frequency of automated script runs, reporting and feedback.
On a continuing basis perform analysis of areas of functionality that require high labor effort to automate to assist with future project planning.
Support string testing phases through delivery of applicable automation, whether tests or document creation.
Working with the QA Manager plan the maintenance of automated scripts to be brought up to date with development changes in line with project plan expectations.
Job Requirements
What your resume will include and demonstrate to us:
Required:
Related university degree/college diploma, or equivalent education and experience
Minimum of 3-5 years IT or business experience, with an emphasis on control procedures and work processes
Experience in managing cross functional processes and projects
Experience with testing methodologies and test evidence requirements
Knowledge of IT practices and processes such as SDLC, Testing Best Practices, and Project Management methodology
SAP experience
Solid computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Internet use in a Windows NT environment; general database experience
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to focus on risk
Solid problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong organization and time management skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Preferred:
University degree in Computer Science or Business Administration
Experience in an IT Project Delivery role
Experience working for a large national company
Previous Sobeys experience
Bilingual (English & French)
