We have an exciting full-time opportunity for an IT Cloud Continuous Improvement Lead to join the National Information Technology department, based out of our offices in Stellarton, Nova Scotia.
Reporting to the Vice President IT Cloud, in this role you will be responsible to assist in the development of a culture that embraces continuous improvement, improving our ability to compete and drive differentiation in our Information Technology department. You will provide a shared services approach to process improvement working with other Continuous Improvement (CI) Analysts to help define and innovate processes within our IT capability model to support the future goals of the Business Plan.
Some of the key things you’ll be responsible for in this role will include:
Support facilitation sessions with key members of their respective function to help understand the gap between the Capability Model activities current state and the future state outlined in our Business Plan through interactive discussions and brainstorming
Initiate process improvement efforts and determine KPIs that accurately reflect the desired outcome of the process
Identify and design process performance measurements tools
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, where colleagues are encouraged and recognized for generating and implementing innovative ideas
Project manage some of the improvement initiatives and use Six Sigma tools to drive improvement opportunities
Work with other cross functional management or CI teams to lead, coordinate, and/or develop continuous improvement activities and events related to processes impacting other areas of IT
Oversee and participate in the troubleshooting and analysis of opportunities to rapidly identify, evaluate, propose and implement solutions
Execute continuous improvement Plan within their assigned Function by driving activities resulting in continuous improvement, culture transformation, delivery efficiencies, and cost savings
Report on progress, achievements and associated results; including executive level reporting, management updates and best practice sharing
Other duties and projects as assigned
Job Requirements
What your resume will include and demonstrate to us:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 8years of experience in Information Technology
Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
Experience in supporting the development and implementation of CI activities
Extensive knowledge of IT practices and processes such as SDLC, ITIL
Ability to motivate and engage employees, and to foster teamwork to maximize collaboration
Strong attention to detail
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Above average communication skills (both oral and written)
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Project Management background
Working knowledge of ARIS or similar tool
Lean or Six Sigma certified would be an asset
