The Corporate Strategy and Development Analyst will support corporate planning activities and corporate governance that fall within the purview of the Corporate Strategy function. The Corporate Strategy (CS) function is focused on providing broad, strategic vision for Sobeys Inc. and identifying and evaluating new growth initiatives. Working closely with the business and functional leaders the CS function will formulate the company’s strategic vision. The function will lead problem solving and opportunity evaluation, including strategic and financial analysis and the creation of business plans for high potential opportunities.

The Analyst will be a high performing individual with strong analytical and written communication capabilities. The individual will synthesize different information sets within the organization to develop content for Board of Director updates and leadership presentations.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the corporate planning and development and governance process

Work closely with the Manager, Corporate Strategy and Development to develop Board meeting updates, leadership presentations and the annual business plan

Collaborate and co-ordinate with other internal team members and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on content for Board updates and executive presentations

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree preferably in Business, Communications

2-4 years experience in a large corporate environment

Prior experience in Corporate planning will be considered an asset

Very strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to synthesize disparate pieces of information and articulate in writing and presentations

Ability to manage changing priorities and tight deadlines effectively

Ability to work in very fast paced environment

Strong coordination capabilities; organized, efficient with excellent time management skills

Advanced PowerPoint and Word skills
