Reporting to the Administration Supervisor, the Cook’s Helper will receive direction from the Lead Cook and assist the cook in the planning and preparation of meals in order to provide healthy food choices for consumption by the Retail Support Center employees. The ideal candidate will be responsible for proper cash handling and sanitization of the cafeteria and sitting area according to Sobeys food safety and sanitization standards.

As the successful candidate, you encompass excellent organizational and communication skills. You take pride in delivering top quality fresh food and outstanding service to our customers. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and encompass a strong work ethic. Your creative flair for presenting and packaging delicious creations will ensure success in this role.

Job Requirements

As the ideal candidate, you will possess previous experience in a similar position and able to lift a minimum of 10lbs. Proven track record should exemplify your strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills; and a strong commitment to customer service. You are punctual and reliable, able to prioritize workload, multi-task and work with minimal supervision. Adapting to changes in the position and working in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment is a requirement. Food safety training is a definite asset. Full training is provided.

Previous experience in a similar position is considered an asset
