SNC-Lavalin Environment & Geoscience (E&G) is a rapidly growing full service consulting firm that is dedicated to responding to the changing needs of our clients. We are committed to providing solutions driven environmental services to assist clients in planning, managing and conducting their projects. Our growing organization is seeking like-minded individuals to join our multi-disciplinary team. With the above vision in mind, the Impact Assessment and Community Engagement (IACE) division is seeking a Junior Project Scientist to provide team support and technical expertise to our growing team in British Columbia. The position is to be situated out of our Burnaby office. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will work with other members of the IACE group and managers with: Contributing on field studies, including soil and water sampling, construction environmental monitoring, and tasks associated Environmental Assessments; Project-related research activities and other contributions to technical reports; and Assist Project Managers, including budget tracking, document control and meetings support. Qualifications: A university degree or technical diploma related to environmental sciences, social sciences or business. A current BC approved driver’s license Willing to work long days in the field (e.g., 10 hours), including weekends and holidays. Must be willing to travel throughout BC. A desire to grow professionally and work with a dynamic team of like-minded professionals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail and task oriented with strong attention to detail.
