Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for contributing to and supporting Smartwool Brand marketing programs from go-to-market planning to execution as well as for developing and executing channel specific wholesale account marketing plans based on corporate and seasonal brand initiatives.
Work closely with the Brand Management team to coordinate GTM seasonal project implementation. Assist in the development of comprehensive marketing strategy (including brief development), manage the schedule for seasonal creative development and work with external agencies or internal creative teams to execute projects on time.
Partner with Marketing Operations on management of all calendars and timelines for all brand marketing initiatives. Assist in the briefing and communication of asset development calendar with Global Brand teams and regional cross-functional teams.
Manages brand athletes and ambassadors including budgets, product needs, and content development.
Manage the planning, development, and execution of seasonal and corporate brand marketing plans for select key account. Oversee the account relationship and work directly with the account and Sales team to best understand their growing business and our opportunities. Ensure our big stories are being told and result in sell-through of our products. Collect and evaluate ROI.
Oversee Co-op program. Ensure co-op program has appropriate seasonal marketing materials to support Brand storytelling through our Wholesale dealers including ad templates, fixtures, graphics, events, etc. Work with Sales Agency marketing reps to maximize effectiveness of dealers’ co-op dollars.
As part of the Go-to-Market process, work with Sales and Cross Functional marketing teams to help create consumer promotional concepts that build brand equity and drive seasonal initiative stories at all consumer touchpoints. This includes, but not limited to advertising, sports marketing, in-store, PR and events.
Promote seasonal concepts and programs with sales agents and dealers to ensure the programs are being supported and executed appropriately. Responsible for the rollout and execution of the seasonal marketing programs, working with cross functional teams to deliver on time and within budget. Gather reports, photos, recaps of programs to share internally and help advise future planning.
Create, manage and track all applicable budgets to ensure on or under budget performance and all applicable project time lines to ensure on time, high quality deliverables.
Manage fixture program including inventory tracking, allocation, and delivery with key accounts.
Maintain current knowledge of outdoor industry marketing activities to create closer relationships with key retailers and establish successful Account Marketing programs.
Years of Related Professional Experience: 3+ years of experience in Project Management/Marketing preferred.
Educational/Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and years of experience.
Computer/Software Applications: Extensive experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Highly motivated and creative self-starter with strong project management skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong writing skills.
Consumer brand, retail or Outdoor Industry experience a must.
Astute multitasking and organizational skills required to excel in extremely fast-paced environment with tight timelines.
