Position Overview

ACTIVITY

Payroll processing
Auditing HR entries and changes for accuracy. Data entry including: hours, adjustments,
manual updates and other details relating to associates compensation. Balancing payroll to
time sheets.

Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Maintain all payroll filing. Respond daily to associates payroll enquiries.

Reporting & Month/Year end

Creates reports. Preparing ROE’s and other payroll records as required, in a timely manner.
Assists in completion of the year end audit. Respond to external agencies such as: CRA,
Service Canada, Family Support, etc. Manual Cheque calculations. Month End payroll
accrual.
Monthly reconciliation and remittances to third parties. Other AdHoc reports as needed.

Total Rewards and Compensation

Assist in administration of total rewards and compensation packages including running
reports, salary and wage comparisons. Assist in coordination of the annual compensation
and bonus cycle including the annual survey submissions, market review, and dealing with
complex compensation issues

Health and Wellness (Benefits)

Enroll new associates in extended health program. Manage and update current associates in
the program including updates/changes to; beneficiaries, dependents, RRSP contributions,
etc. Respond to associates benefit inquires.

Developing and delivering various communications including adhoc, monthly and quarterly.
Filing of all benefit forms. Respond to external agencies as needed.

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:

This position requires completion of post-secondary education (2 year commercial or 4 year
university), in Human Resources /Compensation / Accounting or related field with 2-3 years’
experience in the field of Payroll / Human Resources

  • PCP Certified or Candidate Preferred
