Represents the Business Technology Services (BTS) Division in the provision of all corporate information systems advice and services, related to the achievement of business objectives, for an assigned business area. Works with clients to define their business needs and to determine their requirements including the project conceptualization and business case development phase. Develops and delivers software customizations, interfaces and/ or new applications (as required). Assesses new business specific applications and recommends approval or rejection, and prepares and delivers presentations to peers, clients, and BTS management. Provides technical maintenance and support for related problems escalated from the Service Desk, and responds to emergency callouts for immediate operational support, as required. Performs the role of project manager or project lead participant for systems implementation or development.

Qualifications

Diploma in computer science from a recognized institute of technology including courses in business/ systems analysis, general programming and the use of development tools. Requires three (3) years previous experience in an information technology environment utilizing development tools and information engineering techniques, communicating with users and external parties to resolve problems and identify solutions. A further period of up to one (1) year in the position is required to become familiar with assigned TransLink Business Technology Services (BTS) policies, procedures, environment and its user requirements.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

Work Schedule

37.5 hours per week.
