provides functional expertise and TMAC system security administration and support in the use and applications of system technology by participating in projects, teams and meetings and representing the department on technology and business improvement projects. Collaborates on procedural and systems reviews and provides input into business case submissions. Provides systems support and analytical services to customers by preparing reports and queries on a range of complex issues. Checks system audit reports and ensures appropriate follow up action is undertaken. Maintains and updates system set-up data and tables and administers SharePoint security. Assists in the coordination of user training for the TMAC System and supports the delivery of classroom training.
Completion of a Diploma/Certificate in Computer Science specializing in telecommunications and/or network technology. Two (2) years experience in a service delivery, unionized environment with a focus on service excellence, communication and business efficiency improvement. Strong knowledge of information systems, in particular network and/or data management, procedures and working with project teams to be able to provide functional and technical advice. Strong analytical skills when conducting operational reviews and participating in business improvement initiatives. Knowledge of methodologies and report writer tools is required for supporting service and system improvements and when preparing reports and queries on a range of complex issues. A further period of up to one (1) year in the position is required to become familiar with the communications system and related applications in use at CMBC. Computer skills – Standard office software, including web-based systems, word processing and spreadsheets. Network management, radio and microwave system and site management applications.
Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.
37.5 hours per week.
