Maintain and enhance the technical IT security capability through management of infrastructure, tools and relationships within the company and with outside vendors. Advise on areas to increase our capability and efficiency. Ensure the availability of security related toolset and services and assist with security assessments, incident investigations, and projects as required.
Manage review and approval of changes to the security infrastructure (firewalls, web filtering technology, etc.)
Act as a focal point between the internal information security function and operational groups that provide hands-on administration and support.
Act as a subject matter expert to corporate projects that are supported by central security infrastructure and technology.
Manage relationships with external vendors of technologies, tools and solutions used by the information security function.
Liaise with offshore partners to ensure adequate support and monitoring of critical security technologies.
Lead the design of changes to security infrastructure as appropriate to increase visibility across the company estate, and to operate more efficiently, leveraging intelligence about security threats.
Assist in the preparation of reports against key performance indicators and metrics, and to communicate these as appropriate.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes, tools and techniques to counter threats faced by SITA and our customers.
8+ years experience in an IT environment, with at least 4 years in a security-related role.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Strong understanding of network design and leveraging technologies such as firewalls, web filtering and endpoint security in security architecture.
In-depth knowledge of deploying and operating security technologies in a complex environment.
Strong communication skills, especially in taking complex technical information and presenting it to a non-technical audience.
Demonstrated ability to work with external vendors to plan upgrades, deal with support issues and maximize use of third-party technologies & services.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and work with teams with different reporting lines.
Good knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems, and TCP/IP networking.
Good ability to perform data analytics.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.) or sufficient work experience to demonstrate proficiency at this level.
Professional security designation such as CISSP, CISA, GIAC, etc.
Previous experience in network engineering and/or system administration considered an asset.
