Responsibilities:

  • Manages a diverse operational team with focus upon operational excellence including material master process, inventory planning, supplier management, Export Control requirements
  • Leads the maintenance, organization, distribution of procurement records, information procurement procedures, policies, price lists, contracts, supplier evaluation, etc.
  • Responsibility for Building Technologies (BT) Material Master Process
  • Establishes overall Methods Process Tools
  • Conducts routine analysis, process reporting, data management, assists in program development statistical reports presentations
  • Produces analysis support for PPMs Commodity Managers
  • Coordinates / leads overall sourcing commodity management strategies with BT CAN Corporate Procurement
  • Leads the strategy execution with the objective of maximizing the economics of company purchases through supplier rationalizations, purchase price reductions, quality improvement, business process innovation, conserving working capital
  • Monitors the sourcing strategies success contract based supplier relationships by reviewing spending patterns, auditing specific transactions, monitoring supplier performance, resolving field issues as required
  • Establishes drives field consensus sourcing strategies for each sourcing/commodity group to reduce total cost
  • Conducts the sourcing activity including preparation of bid packages, evaluation plans in case of competitive bid developments, bid evaluation, negotiation, contract awards
  • Assists PPM in creating final contract documentation terms in accordance with corporate policies procedures
  • Conveys the essential terms of supplier agreements to field personnel via direct interface or systems based information to promote placement of daily transactions
  • Tracks reports benefits obtained from sourcing strategies, negotiation support for specific sourcing transactions
  • Responsibility for the Export Control Function for BT Canada

Qualifications

  • Strong computer, Excel, Access, spreadsheet analysis skills with SAP ERP experience in the MM Materials Management module
  • Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals with differing knowledge levels
  • Role requires strong negotiation and influence communication to large groups
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or Supply Chain Management with 5 years of related Procurement experience (Construction Industry / Service or Subcontracting procurement experience at corporate or industry level)
  • Procurement or Supply Chain Management Certification as a Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) is a plus
  • Ability to work in a matrix multi-dimensional business environment
  • Self-starting individual performer with ability to lead and manage cross functional teams
  • Bilingual French and English a plus
