Responsibilities:

  • Primarily Fire Alarm service and inspection but would be required to do installation and programming as needed.
  • Required to participate in the 24hr on-call rotation
  • Complete Fire Alarm reports
  • Participate in the Installation to Service handovers on assigned jobs
  • Represent the company at the customer sites professionally at all times
  • Update the Site database to keep records current
  • Video Management, IT/Physical Security Experience is beneficial
  • Perform installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting activities on Intrusion Alarm Systems, Access Control, CCTV, etc…
  • Test and verify system readings ensuring an optimal system operation
  • Make recommendations for improvement or system change
  • Work closely with other teams to maintain customer satisfaction and quality assurance procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum College Education in Electronics
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in the installation and service of Fire Alarm systems
  • Valid CFAA certification required
  • Limited Electrician’s License ( Manitoba )
  • Proven diagnostic skills – able to systematically identify and resolve technical problems
  • Strong technical knowledge of troubleshooting activities on Intrusion Alarm Systems, Access Control, CCTV
  • Knowledge of IP Networks, C-Cure systems and MS-Office
  • Customer focused and good in relationships
  • Self-motivated and calm under pressure
  • Good understanding of Building and Fire codes
  • Good communication skills in English both written and spoken
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and passport and be able to travel unrestricted abroad
  • Experience with Siemens Fire Alarm systems preferred, not required
