IT Portfolio Architect

Role Description – This person will collaborate with our Upstream team (facilities engineering, supply chain, project controls), their teams and the business clients so as to holistically manage the planning, delivery and operation of IT technology and information within these portfolios. This person maintains a challenging role as a member of both the Enterprise Architecture and IT Portfolio teams.

To manage IT Portfolio planning: you will the collaborate with the Group Leads, their teams and the business clients to create a strategic and operational plan for the IT Portfolios, including business and technical roadmaps that will be used to transform the IT Portfolio from its current state to a desired future state in the context of business transformation initiatives to achieve business alignment.

To manage IT Portfolio delivery: you will participate in the generation of project and program proposals derived from the IT Portfolio roadmap and provide oversight for work performed by Solution Architects and the deliverables resulting from these project proposals.

To manage IT Portfolio operations: you will apply Application Portfolio Management to the IT Portfolios. Application Portfolio Management delivers on capability to functionality mapping for all applications in the portfolio, as well as data and technology mapping. The purpose is to maintain current and up-to-date technical landscape knowledge for the portfolio as a critical input to planning efforts.

Technical Skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related
10+ years of experience progressively advancing experience in IT projects in technical or functional roles
5+ years of experience as an IT Architect (ideally this should include experience in the portfolio management space)
Experience documenting architectural design plans, technology and business focused roadmaps
Understanding of application development and the systems development lifecycle
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical environments and develop innovative and logical solutions
Proven experience performing and working within architecture frameworks, methodologies and governance
Experience in application and information integration across the enterprise
Experience applying architecture best practices and working within structured programs and project delivery lifecycles
Familiarity with a wide range of technologies at the segment architecture level (this includes but is not limited to ERP, COTS, SaaS, mobile, and cloud delivered solutions)
Experience with configuration concepts, principles, and protocols

Nice-to-Have
Dealing with logistics in support of Plant Maintenance and Reliability
Familiarity with the integrated processes and related data and document management from Facilities Engineering through construction to transition to operations
Experience with applications such as Oracle JDE, McLaren for Document Management, Maximo for Maintenance and Reliability
