The position:

When you visit Shell Employees’ Credit Union, you are greeted with smiling faces, eager to help you with your banking needs. That’s our Member Service Representative team, the face of Shell Employees’ Credit Union. Our Member Service Representatives are more than just tellers – they are sales and service superstars who process member transactions as well as help our members with:

  • Account openings and maintenance
  • Term deposits
  • RRSPs
  • RRIFs
  • RESPs
  • TFSAs
  • MasterCards
  • Setting up electronic services

All the while keeping a lookout for counterfeit money and fraudulent activities. Our Member Service Representatives are also pros at uncovering opportunities that provide additional benefits to our members, and then deciding who at Shell Employees’ Credit Union is the perfect match to help them.

Are you the right fit?

We’re looking for friendly individuals who are comfortable engaging with our members and promoting Shell Employees’ Credit Union’s fantastic products and services. To thrive in this role, you’ll need to have the following qualities:

  • You have proven customer service skills in a bank or credit union with a minimum two years of experience in a customer-facing financial services role AND a minimum one year experience in an account manager role
  • You are sales driven
  • You have high IT literacy: MS Office, Internet Explorer
  • You drive for excellence and have self-motivation
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You enjoy working as part of a team
  • You are flexible and a proficient multi-tasker
  • You have superb intuition, which you use to anticipate members’ needs (sometimes even before they realize that they HAVE needs!)
  • You can wear many hats and can operate in an all-hands-on-deck environment
